Hot Summers!

I would recommend this university but watch out in the summer! There are many strong departments with good research reputations. I would definitely recommend this school for anyone pursuing a research-based discipline. There are so many resources including tons of libraries and museums. Go Longhorns!

Pros: good academic reputation, knowledgeable faculty, beautiful campus, challenging courses

Cons: Large classrooms

I would recommend to a friend!

So Many Options!

This is a huge school and in a way it makes your experience much more personal. There are clubs and activities for any interest under the sun. It is a little overwhelming at first, because there are so many choices of where to get involved but once you get a feel for how things work and figure out which groups are for you, it is really easy. The classes are pretty large, especially in general education classes so I wouldn't recommend this school for people who want more one-on-one time with professors. The parking is a big hassle so I would avoid having a car if you can.

Pros: knowledgeable faculty, beautiful campus, great networking opportunities

Cons: Overrated, Conformist

I would recommend to a friend!
