Great education, atmosphere and people overall!!

The University of Iowa is smack dab in the middle of a great little college town, large enough to get the feel of a large university but small enough that you can walk into a building and know a handful of people. Even if you don't know many people, everybody is very friendly and seems to be willing to lend a hand. There are a plethora of classes to choose from, whether you are going for a business degree or something in the medical field, Iowa offers it all. I haven't had much experience in needing to transfer credits but i have heard a lot of them are compatible with other colleges. Professors can be tough, but if you attend on a regular basis I've found that they are more than willing to work with you if you're willing to go the extra mile for extra credit or wanting to revise a grade. Everything on campus is pretty much within walking distance and there is an awesome bus system that runs during class times, as well as a bus that will take girls home after a night out on the town. I have to add that the nightlife is up there as well, a lot of restaurants and bars downtown and there's always tons of house parties. I definitely had the time of my life at Iowa and would recommend it to anybody looking to further their education in a laid back and extremely fun town!

Pros: good academic reputation, knowledgeable faculty, beautiful campus, challenging courses

Cons: expensive, hard to register for classes

I would recommend to a friend!
