Toxic work environment The most toxic environment I ever worked in. Awful leadership team who only cares about themselves and their family. No transparency in any decision, everything is very chaotic, nothing is properly organized, big time discrimination. Teaching assignments change last minute to accommodate leadership's favorite people. Some instructors are overworked while others are given coordinator positions to do nothing. And if you dare to open your mouth and say anything, you are out. "Divide et impera" is leadership's strategy. You will work with some nice people, but be careful of the watchdogs who are strategically placed to undermine you. And this is a Canadian institution and those people are nurses. Sad for the profession, and sad for a country like Canada known everywhere for its nice people. I would NOT recommend to a friend. |

Awful Stay away if you can. A very toxic environment. Workers are not treated well. A very corrupt institution. Work colleagues are great and supportive. HR and Senior Leadership Team very miserable. The Dean is very discriminative and awful human being. Students are very lovely. I would NOT recommend to a friend. |

Horrible working place that i am glad i left A working place i won't recommend to anyone. It is a very corrupt institution. Management is horrible. Senior Leardership Team only care about their positions and high tax free salaries. Work collegues were excellent and very supportive, salary and benefits are good but to the expense of your emotional well being. I was very unhappy with the work environment every single day and will forever remember the day i left. High level of turnover for both staff and faculty due to the budget cut. One day you are in the next day you are asked to leave the country without any notice period. Stay away if you can! I would NOT recommend to a friend. |

I wish I had never gone to UCQ The biggest mistake I have ever made was accepting a position at UCQ. The senior leadership are mean-spirited, weak leaders and disrespect and misery is common. If you are a high achiever, the bullies come out in force. Housing is free, yes, but it's a dump. Salary is good but at the expense or your health especially your emotional health. You will get a stellar performance review one day, the next you can't do anything right, and you have 1 week to get out of the country. Pros: great climate Cons: long work hours, lack of transparency, limited upward mobility, high cost of living I would NOT recommend to a friend. |

Toxic envirnment Layoffs over the years have led to a toxic, backstabbing and miserable environment. Horrible human resources people. The HR director often resorts to name calling and the senior leadership just don't care. Awful place. Cons: long work hours, large class sizes, lack of transparency, limited upward mobility, high cost of living I would NOT recommend to a friend. |
