Academic Preparatory Program (APP)

I worked as an English instructor. Demanding / Unprofessional / Broken +It was a job. +Most co-workers were cool. -The contract didn't mean anything. The AUIS APP reduced the staff's salaries by 20% for the last quarter of the year. Additionally, the stated contract hours and the actual required working hours differed considerably. -The APP admin offered little support. RG and ZM were often too busy to help or follow through. I was pretty much on your own. -There is no academic coordinator so the courses aren't mainstreamed. Besides teaching, the planning, creating, designing, grading, email monitoring was quite time consuming and stressful. -Besides APP admin --> --The HR director (ZN) never responded to emails, had poor communication skills, and was unskilled at her job. --The vice-president was affable but naive and cowardly. --The president was a prick. - The accommodation choices didn't suit me. 2 options - living on campus alone or living off-campus with a roommate. -The region and government is too unstable for the demands of AUIS' intentions. The APP has trouble getting students. It is utterly chaotic at the beginning of every term. - COVID did not help the situation. -Ultimately, I felt conned from what was advertised and the reality of the position and environment.

I would NOT recommend to a friend.
