WORST DECISION OF MY LIFE

As an IT student for this god awful school, I want to warn anyone who wants to enroll that you shouldn't expect anything. The teachers are decent at best and their education materials is outdated. Our academics are not based on our individual capabilities but on the incompetence of others. Hence even how smart and clever you are there is nothing you can do if the rest of the class are idiots. (Including me for enrolling) The grading system is pretty mediocre as they use 10% of your grades from topics you don't know (SHSA). The computers are very slow and their website is trash af. The only good thing about STI College is their cold Air Conditioner and small elevator that can only fit 10 people. Overall I wouldn't recommend anyone trying to achieve their academic goals in this school.

Just kill me.

The curriculum in this school if weird. As a non-STEM student I find it ridiculous for our pts to include creating a product, what the hell? Our teachers are also annoying and not working hard enough, and if they do try to teach they make it hard to understand. Our Science subject is also stupid because the teacher not only doesn't take time to explain but grades us so lowly, I'm so stressed already. Even the personal development subject is stupid. Deadlines are all over the place and things would suddenly get cancelled before another event comes around. It's not fun here, I want to drop out. Usually its the teachers you'd ask help for, but I think they really wouldn't care about you in this institution.

Just... horrible

This institution is so terrible in so many aspects, I can't even begin to describe. You got professors who doesn't seem to know their subject they're teaching. Of course, I have met some who are actually knowledgeable but they were only few and far between. Do they even screen their applicants' qualifications and certifications well? Horrible performance of computers. Yet they pride themselves as an ICT institution with modern training facilities they claim in their official website. What an absolute joke. You call that garbage modern? Homeworks and thesis deadlines during exams? Then at the same time, they tell us to focus on our exams. How can we focus on one thing if they keep giving schoolwork, on top of studying for the exams. I question whether they are thinking in consideration for us or not. You also got toilet facilities that smells like sewerage. You get that foul smells every day in almost every restrooms you go. It may be unrelated to academics, but it says a lot on how much they care and maintain their facilities and infrastructure. Clearly here, they're not doing a good job at it, in terms of sanitation. The quality of learning materials, especially handouts that they distribute online through their online learning portal called ELMS , is bad. Some of them are so confusing to read, like a word salad. It even lacks enough content to derive any meaningful knowledge from it. I'll end my review here. I don't know if other branches of this institution suffers from the same issues I have already described, but I wouldn't be surprised. If you're looking to enroll and attend here, do yourself a favor and look somewhere else. Trust me, you'd be better off somewhere else. Do extensive research about the school that you plan to enroll, because it pays off in the long run. That, and you'll be making sure that it's well worth the effort and money. Don't make the same mistakes that many of us here did. Good luck.

I Would not recommend for gaining a Bachelor's degree

I'm from STI college LP and here's why I don't wanted you to waste your time on it. Their educational system is far beyond what you think it should be. It sucks especially when it comes to having a vain glorified prof na bagong graduate and can't even teach how to program. He can understand what programming is the concepts and he can read the program BUT he can't construct the way a professor should be. In fact, They're just using the name of STI for self gain. Not totally for education. 2nd Their facilities sucks (STI College LP) I'm a guy and the staffs can't even maintain the air inside of comfort room. Atleast air freshener are to be provided but still they don't even care about it that's why most of the students gets sick because of poor maintenance. 3rd as a Computer SCI student, Learning facility should be provided expecially a computer. School provided computers for learning sucks. like is this 40k?? for almost 1000+ IT BSCPE and computer related courses are paying that much and still can't provide a computer with average performance. Most of it are to be out of date na rin e and can't support dev softwares. OVERALL I do not recommend this school in las piñas It was prestigious the way you hear it or the way you heard of it but in the end, you'll just waste your time and money. Better look for other school.

It's Really Bad... I will not recommend this school for y'all!

I'm a Digital Arts 211 student and here's my experience in this school. First of all, the students can be quite friendly and most of the time can be very bad at the same time. The teachers is basically decent, but in the meantime the lessons that they've taught you is poor and misunderstanding that they'll just force you to check it on Elms. Their website is also bad, especially the One Sti Student. The clubs should be optional not mandatory, because not everyone has the ability to be that punctual and active. Especially on the assignments of the other subjects have adding in the STI Elms. And also they're more focused on the minor subjects instead of the major ones. What's the main purpose of the Major subject then? Like your course is applied on that subject, yet the minor subjects is more focused. Cause If you don't do the minor subjects, then you'll be failing on your class. I understand that the other subjects needs to be done fairly, but the major subject is literally suppressed by the minor subjects. That causes for the Major subject to be unnoticeable and makes it even more redundant. Which means that you will only learn less on the Major subject that you needed for your studies in your course/strand. So if your parents ever convincing you to go in this school... Please... **Save Yourself, Don't waste your Money in this School!...**

Absolute garbage experience. Be warned.

I do not know how it compares to other branches of this institution, but personally, my experience here has been abysmal. Poor quality learning and teaching make me think that I have wasted thousands of pesos and, more importantly, time, which I personally view as a precious resource, in this school. They also have no respect for others' time. How, you might ask? Professors being late and asking others to wait for a few more minutes before starting class. Look at it from a different perspective, instead of viewing it as kindness. How would you feel, as a punctual person, being asked to wait after going through all the trouble just to arrive on time? It feels rather unfair, isn't it? I have also noticed the overload of schoolwork and tasks given to students. Combine that with school activities on top of hectic scheduling, and you get boatloads of stress, instead of fun. If you're looking for a school, I suggest you look somewhere else, lest you'll most likely come to regret it, like I did.

I'm tired

I'm a top student in STI Las Piñas, I survived grade 11 and now I'm grade 12. I'm tired, some of our teachers lack patience and acts so rude, one boasts about their work so much yet can't even prove how good they are when teaching, we can't understand a single thing he says because he believes speaking straight English is superior, and mind you he's teaching Philippine Politics, imagine teaching a Filipino subject in full English. Pedophiles everywhere, it's terrifying. The grading system sucks, and the SHSA exam makes no sense, only add pressure to the students. I'm trying my absolute best but I think this quarter I'm bound to fail with how much this school expects from me. They don't push you to be better, they pressure you to be overworked. Don't waste your money. Save your children from this God awful school.

STI IS WORST

I enrolled at STI College because i thought it was good and like the other universities but no, 1. Most of the students was bad influence they smoke, saying bad words 2. I accused of something almost 5 that i didn't dom 3. The Guidance Teacher never listened to me. 4. All the teachers and staff doesn't know all the rules, regulation. When i asked something they will answer me but on the other staff they don't know at all, inshort they don't know all the policy. 5. I Drop at STI and they said they will never return my documents if we don't pay the full tuition, i only go to school for two weeks. i asked before the other staff and she said i can get a refund but they didn't. 6. Only in ELMS can review because you can only depend on elms and one of the reason why you can fail or not. 7. some of the prof can humiliated in very deep reason that can ruin your mental health 8. There's a lot of Tshirts, uniform you will buy. 9. it depends on the money that you can get a high grades in the subjects. STI NEVER RETURN MY DOCUMENTS! AS IF THEIR CAMPUS IS GOOD

I would NOT recommend to a friend.

NOT student-friendly, especially to those who are having a hard time with their mental health

the facilities are good but that's the only thing this school offers and even then they take too long with replacing/fixing the facilities when it gets broken. the management is so terrible. in the orientation, they will encourage you to talk with the counsellors, teachers, homeroom advisers for mental health guidance BUT once you do, they will make you feel as if you're a burden for opening up and asking for help. they are NOT considerate. in order to be excused in lectures or exams, you either have to have a fatal injury with a medical certificate or a death from a first-degree relative(parents, siblings, children). so if your grandparent or uncle/aunt or cousin dies, the school marks you absent and doesn't let you salvage your grades, even if you provide a death certificate. i once had very bad headaches and stomach pain in the campus before the exam started. i tried to go to the clinic but it was closed. i was forced to stay in the library because of how bad my condition was. the exam started and i wasn't able to attend. i was not given a chance to take another exam because it was not a fatal injury. this led to me having a grade lower than 84 in my card. if you have a grade lower than 85, you are not eligible for academic honors. in order for you to graduate with honors as an shs student, you mustnt have below 85 grade from grade 11 to grade 12. once they see that you have an 84 in one subject, even if your overall grade is higher than 95, you're automatically disqualified for honors. plus a lot of the teachers here are ped0phil3s! the management does NOTHING even if you report them! they gaslight you when you report certain issues and tell you to not make it a big deal. WORST SCHOOL IVE BEEN TO.

Waste of time and money

I am a tertiary at Carmona Campus. The teachers there won't even help you. They don't care if you fail or not.

Overall Bad.

From the way the school moves to it's teachers, everything is a mess. I am a grade 11 HUMSS student in STI, I have never been this overworked before, not only pressuring us to do so many things but also guilt tripping the students saying things as 'What would your parents think--' and so on. I've had a few nice teachers and they're sweet and all but some just doesn't turn up to teach, next are the pedophile teachers-- why the fuck are you texting your students in such manners, that is a child and you are an actual adult. In our STI branch there are many graduates reaching out to their young siblings or relatives that go to STI and warning them about the said teachers, my friend is one of them. Aside from the teachers, their grading system is absolutely trash, one of our teachers think they're so great because they know English and all that but be for real, they speak so fast that no one understands the lesson, they judge essays and don't even give fair scores. They even exempt students from exams unfairly, I say this is all stupid, all students should get an exam, being exempted for nothing is so unreasonable and unfair. I've worked so hard, so so hard in order to pass and get high ranks but I don't think I can anymore, our branch started so late that my friends from other school's are literally in the half of their second semester whilst I'm still at the 1st semester. In short, STI just blatantly sucks overall. -ELMS site removes your answers and would require you to do the activity all over again (frustrating). -Teachers are either weird or useless. -The grading system is undesirable, they have an shsa which is like 10% of your grades in every subject which is an exam that is at the start of a sem, and many got brought down because of that stupid exam. -The activities are draining, and the 'fun' activities just add to more stress. Especially P.E day, they say it's fun for the teachers, yes most definitely fun for them, but for us. No way.

Don't waste your money there are lots of better schools out there and some are free (public schools)

This school is very disappointing. I feel sad while typing this but public schools are better than STI. You only learn here but you don't enjoy the process. Overloaded with performance tasks, exams, etc. Save your mental health and money.

Stay away from the school. Headache inducing for both parents and students

I'm a grade 11 STEM student studying in STI global city. I have a lot to say but it'll exceed the text limit so I'll summarize it for you. I'm one of the top 5 shsa student but I'll refrain from saying the rank just in case. -Two teachers I've encountered humiliated and shamed students beyond reason. Doesn't matter if you have a valid excuse. -Teacher makes racist and sexist comments. -They'll give a long list of assignments to do within a week. Yes they give loads of assignments and only a few days to submit it. (Videos, research papers, essays, podcasts, documentary, etc) -Haven't seen any of my teachers this 2nd semester. They don't meet and teach us anything. I'm not exaggerating. Still had the audacity to give us exams, quizzes, and low grades. -They don't listen to student complaints. They say noted or just leave you on seen and don't do anything about it. My classmates and I complained multiple times and got left on seen. -They don't listen to parent complaints. They blame the student even if student is not at fault with proof of their innocence. -I have to wear wrist braces now and oftentimes had to skip family bonding because of work. -Vision got worse since I spend most of my time working on assignments on my computer. I don't play video games. -They turn a blind eye to student bullying -Adviser has obvious favoritism. A lot of my classmates can see that. -Grading system is awful -I was part of the honours during 1st sem. During 2nd sem, despite my general average being higher than most, I'm still somehow not part of the honour student because an absent teacher unfairly graded me low -Parents tried to solve the issue. They didn't do anything. TLDR: I, my parents, and my classmates agree that STI global city only cares about your money and not the student's future.

Kinda meh.

Studying at STI Global City right now. I have seen a lot of reviews here that I can actually relate and/or agree to. First, some of the instructors/professors(?) are incompetent. I don't know if they're just fresh graduates that don't have any experience in teaching yet but most of the instructors that I have encountered so far have been subpar, to say the least. Cancelling classes last minute or just not showing up at all, doesn't give feedback to our activities/quizzes/task performances, creating a group on another platform(like messenger) instead of using MS Teams which the institution uses, straight up doesn't admit that they're wrong when you correct them(to be fair, this has only happened twice), and does not teach anything really in-depth, just surface level stuff that relies HEAVILY on the handout. Those are just a few things that I could think of at the top of my head. OBVIOUSLY, this does not apply to all of them. 4 out of my 9 instructors right now are actually pretty competent and I could really feel their passion for teaching and care for their students. These 4, who shall remain anonymous, do give feedback, discuss the material in a more in-depth manner, and could explain the material very well without relying on the handout. If you go to this institution and have the misfortune of encountering these incompetent instructors then you'll have to rely heavily on Google-sama to teach you. Most of it is going to be self-study, tough but it's better than just relying on the handout. I was gonna rate it 1 star but those it wouldn't be fair to those competent instructors. I'll add one more just for them! Overall, I'm disappointed at this institution for hiring a bunch of, I apologize for being blunt, incompetent instructors. I feel sorry for the other instructors who has to be lumped with these kind of instructors just because they're from the same institution. I wouldn't even recommend this institution to my worst enemy.

This school is beyond disappointing.

I study at STI College Las Piñas and I am very disappointed with the school's system. Firstly, some instructors are incompetent. Some of them don't even know basic grammatical rules. Along with that, they give tests with content that hasn't even been discussed. One of my teachers give out tests with lots of typographical errors, and it made my classmates and I confused about what to answer. Why are you even a teacher if you can't proofread the tests that you give? Even though we voiced out our concern regarding that, they didn't do anything about it. They just said "noted." Also, they assign too many projects. Their projects are literally named "I Learn and Share (ILS)" yet we barely learn anything. What are we going to share if we aren't learning things with regard to how the project is supposed to be done? To give context, they made us create a magazine without even teaching us the contents and the format. So, we just ended up learning it on our own. I for sure know the purpose of a school is to teach students, not merely evaluate them without equipping them with the necessary knowledge. One of the P.E. teachers also sucks. The grades she gives us are very low and almost all of us always just have the same grades. How do you even explain that? It's also worth mentioning that most of those activities are personal essays. You have to have a miserable life to give such low grades to personal essays since there isn't even a rubric provided. Lastly, the art teachers don't give feedback. If you're planning on taking the digital arts strand in this school then change your mind now. They'll literally just grade your outputs without even giving constructive criticism. Instead of feeling like you're actually learning, you'll just start questioning your abilities.

School to learn

The school is great. Programs and courses are the same as here in the US. I finished my Bachelors in Computer Science and now working with the top pharmaceutical company as a fully remote developer. Anything that you need will be provided by this school. However, that is not enough and you have to create your own studies and projects to compete with the IT growing industry. I would recommend the school for IT roles. They will give you a good start to learn. But the rest will depend on how you really enjoy the industry. It's not about the school. It is all about you :)

waste of money and do not even bother about their claims

I'm a grade 11 student taking MAWD and its almost the end of the school year and I still rely on youtube, and google for codes to COPY!!! yea that's right I learned nothing. All my teachers are nice but their teaching skills sucks. Like most of them are fresh grads and know nothing about what they are teaching. Yes they give high grades but I am embarrassed enough not to post them online, unlike the others do, because I know to myself that I don't deserve them. If I was in a public school, I would barely get a 90 but still be proud of it because they actually have an accurate grading system. I remembered my one teacher from my old public school said that private schools hire those who didn't even pass the licensure exam for teachers and this school really proved that. Now I kinda regret pushing my dad to enroll me to this school instead of staying at a public school. I also kinda missed the strict public school teachers who can actually teach properly. SO TO PEEPS OUT THERE WHO ARE PLANNING TO ENROLL TO SCHOOLS LIKE THIS WHO HAVE A TON OF ADS ONLINE, BE CAREFUL AND DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

I would NOT recommend this school

I do not recommend this school. Teachers are not professionals as they should and the grading system just sucks. The students always adjust. They are not true to their words. The grades that they give is not deserving for a student who always answers their activities backbreaking. They do not even listen to a students answer first, they just tend to cut them off and do not care at all. Everything just sucks. This school is just fond of money not quality education. Sales talks in its finest.

GRADING SYSTEM SUCKS!!

My friend is currently a grade 11 student at STI Marikina, and let me start of with very unprofessional professors. There’s this one professor who would send his students his selfies and pictures of him drinking! I’ve never seen such unprofessional move. Second, they would give loads of tasks with a very short period of completion time. LASTLY, THEIR GRADING SUSTEM SUCKS SO BAD!!! I CAN’T EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH. My friend got an average of 93 but she can’t be included in the honour roles because of ONE 83 mark. THAT IS SO UNFAIR ESP THERE ARE STUDENTS WHO REALLY ARE WORKONG HARD TO BE IN THE HINOUR ROLE AND THEY CAN’T BECAUSE OF THEIR FRREAKING GRADING SYSTEM??

Overpriced, Terrible System, and Incompetent Professors

1. STI College sucks. 2. Some of the professors are fresh grad. 3. Some of the professors should be a rapper. 4. Some of the professors are boomer. 5. The facility sucks. 6. You can't feel what you pay for. Pay high, gain low.

Waste of money, unprofessional teachers, junk computer labs, poor education.

I'm from STI College Caloocan and I am now currently 2nd year college studying Information Technology. From all of my experiences since junior high school (Grade 11-12) all I can say is that this school is literally trash. The computers in the laboratory, ugh, opening notepad would take minutes, compiling programs take forever, I wonder how this school became famous for technology courses when in fact this is how everything goes inside the campus, the professors are mostly fresh grad. especially my previous profs and my current prof in computer programming who's obviously has no knowledge in programming at all, they just rely on handouts and most of the time during the discussion they just always read whats on the screen, and just translates it to tagalog, they dont even know how to code. I have so much to say about this school but it would be pointless because it wouldnt change anything. I really dont recommend this school to anyone, enrolling here is such a waste of money and time. Now here am I learning all by myself, because if I rely only to my unprofessional professors and handouts, my future would be at risk, and I can say that I am a lot better than my current prof who knows nothing about programming, he's just an entertainment to me during his class, I am not bragging, I am just saying what's true and what is right. Trash STI...trash.

Sucks!

I enrolled at STI puerto princesa this second sem, enrollment was fast all i had to do is to pay, they didn't give me any information about anything such as school rules and gave me an embarassment, i turned up to school and they told me i am not allowed to wear black stockings? So why not informed me about this upon enrolling? That is not the first time, i had this experience as well that i had to go home just to change my sandals because it is not allowed, imagine how much time and effort i have wasted for that? I didn't know learning have something to do with uniform. Also I need an update if the teacher is on leave, I understand that there's a group chat but how about the new students like me? I turned up to school just to find out that there's no class because teacher is on leave. LOL i thought there will be an email updating that for a new students like us. Alsoooooooo I was misinformed by the staff there, telling me that there will be no class on the 20th December but there actually is. So there! I am really disappointed or i was just expecting too much from this school they so called PRIVATE.

ENROLLMENT TO EMPLOYMENT IS A LIE!!!

I would never ever recommend STI to anyone! It provides so much stress for the students in particular to those who are working on their requirements as an OJT applicant. The process and the system in that school, IT SUCKS! They will make you hanging with the question "PARA SAAN YUNG TUITION KO? KUNG BAWAT REQUIREMENTS KO MAY BAYAD?" And their motto of ENROLLMENT TO EMPLOYMENT IS A BIG LIE! They didn't even suggest any company that can help you grow according to the field you're in.

Maganda ang facilities pero bulok ang grading system. I have a friend studying there and he shared his experience to me. He is a consistent honor student since elementary at dito lang napaka-terrible ng grading system. Puro sila sasabihin sa “head office” daw pero they don’t move and do actions. DONT ENROLL HERE

Buy a small laptop and learn from youtube.

you can learn all of the lessons from youtube, udemy and coursera websites. they will teach you theories that's it. other instructors are good others just graduated from university so, don't expect much. TIPS: 1. buy a small laptop. create an account in udemy,w3schools or coursera. they will teach you better. 2. always listen to your instructor because they already done that. 3. don't rely too much on what your instructor is telling you to do. always find ways to develop your programming skills or what ever skills you are aiming. 4. if you don't study your will fail. 5. if you don't know what's the lesson on that day ask someone either colleagues or instructors. or better ask Google.

Terrible School Overall

I'm a BSHM (hotel and restaurant management service) major. The first thing is, STI removed the 2 year degree program for a hotel/restaurant service so they could squeeze more money out of the students and force them to take a 4 year program instead of just 2 years. The STI website says they offer this but the campus in Ormoc does not because they are greedy. The admissions officer even told me they did away with the 2 year program because nobody was signing up for the 4 year program. Second, they make you do 1,000 OJT hours to graduate. This is slave labor with no wages for 1,000 hours. We actually have to pay tuition to enter this slavery. Comparable schools in the US, Canada and Australia only require 80-100 hours of OJT for similar programs. Why do we have to do 1,000? That is crazy! It's also very lazy because the school can charge you tuition and not actually have to teach you anything for 1,000 hours. And finally, if the academic staff thinks you have money, they will ask you for loans. This has happened to me with three different teachers. Think about how unethical that is and uncomfortable for the student. If you say no, you might get bad grades. This school is basically shit. Beggar teachers asking for money, ridiculous amounts of uneccessary OJT and not even offering undergraduate programs the students prefer because of greed. I would avoid STI at all costs.

STI is a bad choice

in my first year at STI I thought I made the right choice of enrolling to this school but as years goes by, schools performance drastically degrading. Professors are not that professionals, they didn't teach as much as they suppose to. they're relying on handouts given by the HQ, and when the exams are given to us, there are items that are not thought by our prof. and the lazy profs end up giving bonuses ranging from 20-50pts. and students are passing cuz of this and not learning much. i know that students shouldnt blaming the schools but STI is an exception. youll get tired of going to school cuz same sh*t happens every day. and last thing, we got library fee and service fee. aroung 2k combine, while our library is not available and the van that supposed to taking students to the school is ignoring most of the students that it encounter. lol im 4th yr engineering student , lol no escaping.... sad

No school is perfect

Majority of the previous reviews here are negative as if there’s a perfect school. Reviews would be more “reliable” if you include the BRANCH since we cannot always generalise. I’m a teacher at STI Ortigas-Cainta since 2017 so I can honestly say that most reviews are correct BUT not all. Again, let’s not generalise: the staff, faculty and, don’t forget, the students. Admit it, for example, some students will think that they don’t deserve their grades when there are still competent teachers who only “compute your output” and not “invent your grades”. Remember, there are still teachers who don’t care even when they are are underpaid because it’s their passion to teach and they are really concerned with their students and, sometimes, the school. Just because it happens in Branch A doesn’t mean it also happens in Branch B. :P

Like Gosh the tuition here is SO EXPENSIVE then we've learned NOTHING. It's a teacher factor school all they know is how to put "make up" and stuffs that are seriously suck. I felt like I've wasted my one year in here. Pros: Air conditioned classrooms, no hassle, easy grades Cons: Gosh many to mention. You'll get embarrassed if you'll recommend this school. Ok.

my first year was okay. they are like all professionals. but starting my second yr student. they just let us do everything ourselves. one time i asked the professor how does it work and that professor doesnt even know how to answer my simple question. the thing is the professor itself doesnt know how to code himself. some professor are good but most of the time. they dont know how to create a simple app themselves. we just copy the code from the handouts and then w/o further explanation they just grade it and we're done. i don't get the reason why two different subject but still we just do html and css in the end. they don't even teach us how to create our own javascript, ajax etc. two database subject first subject our teacher is good. good thing that teacher give us good foundation. but in the advance database. we STUDENTS teach the TEACHER. like seriously? we pay expensive tuition to teach us not to TEACH the teacher. if i dont have a smart classmate. maybe i dont understand anything at all anymore.

They gave me a teaching schedule from Monday to Friday 2days of 7am Opening to 9pm closing and 3 days 7am to 4pm with intervals. I hate working in this school. Don't ever try to apply or study here. The management is very poor, unfair treatment to the faculty and they are just care about their position in the company not in the school. Workplace culture is very bad most of the administrators and faculty are rude and always speaks rude words especially different sexual terms. The hardest part of the job is the schedule itself imagine teaching opening to closing schedule and also checking of papers of hundreds of students exam which comes from the head office. They created the exam and not the faculty so there is no accurate score for the students. Nothing is enjoyable in this school they treat teachers as a trash and they are just into business.

I'm from STI Cubao and STI is the worst school

Hello, I am Jaycee, I am a grade 11 ITM (IT that focuses on Websites and Mobile Apps) student. First of all, I went to STI because I was interested in their Digital Arts and Animations strand. When I was inquiring at STI Cubao, they told me that they dont have it anymore. If they don't have it, then they should delete Digital Arts and Animations in their websites, right? Then one of them told me that Digital Arts and Animation will be studies if I would take the ITM strand, and so I did. I asked teacher about this and he said he wouldnt be tackling in those subjects. My friend too, was a victim of this. The teachers were nice in the first month, but, things got worst. I've been verbally sexually harrassed by my classmate of mine, the teacher heard it and didnt take it seriously. The students here claims that the school is a private school, for me it isn't. People from private schools don't disrespect their fellow classmates and teachers. Most of the time, the insults are out of the line. Public attitude if you ask me. Next is the staff. Once, I was going to buy my first set of uniforms and they told me it was unavailable until further notice, I tried again and they said to look at the window where the announcements of girls shs uniforms would be released, it was stated August, just AUGUST, no dates or time, just AUGUST. When August came, I went back and then again, he told me to look out the window where the announcements are placed, I started a perfectly calm arguement. I asked him what was the specific date for the release of the uniforms and he had the audacity to call me blind. Last ones are the teachers and the principal. The teachers are rude, one time, the hallway was super crowded because we arent allowed to go inside our classroom without the teacher, this applies to all shs and college. So a lot of us and other people loitered at the side of their rooms and there are people trying to get to class the hall is small. Everyone is so rude even the principal

Be true to who you are. Don't blame your school.

I will not defend the school or the students. I am giving a review based on what I experienced for the last 4 years and still experiencing today. I am one of the few students under 21 years old that could and would be graduating this year with a BSBM degree so I think that brings a very different view to our case discussion specially when we talk about a school curriculum and professors. Truth is that at my age I was able to get an internship with a global consulting firm based in Global City - Taguig . I realized in the first two weeks that in business school ( STI) you get the seeds of the career you have chosen, if you want to make a tree out of those seeds, you need to water them and take care of them. So the message is: You are who your friends are and you bring values to your school from home .You cant blame your school specially college if you lack of professionalism in the future, those basic values are thought at home and High School . In regards of what I have learned , well is hard to explain but I can tell you that I am still working for the firm and not making copies or delivering lunch for the partners but actually working with the associates of the firm in projects such as Digital Transformation Industry 4.0 and been allowed to seat in their meeting with regards to business strategy for clients. If STI is such a bad school I would of not be able to make it here and perhaps they would of let me go within the first 3 days. For all the readers you are free to form your own idea based on what I have written. and if you are interested find out how real I am you are most welcome to try to reach me and i will reach back. PS: there area few people like me at school however is sad to say that there are also some people that believe that beer will make them of value in the future and get disappointed when they see the real world. Regards to all . An STI Student

I am very disappointed to STI COLLEGE

What are the sense of Elm?, Elms is only learning preferences not a site that accept the quizzes, activities because the quizzes and activities is submitted in person or manual submission. Because for me it's very unfair to some students who can't afford to access internet connection every day. I think very arrogant and lazy all the professors, Proctor because a hardworking teacher or educator can make quizzes, activities etc. for there student are give to them actual and not tell to student "open your elms and send to me your works via elms or email, Gmail. I cannot see and feel the professionalism, skilled professionalism to ALL PROFESSOR AND PROCTOR, TRAINER, it's big lying the statement that your faculty is a professional Professor. Your policy and regulations are very unfair to student. The uniform stock are very limited. I hate STI COLLEGE specially the Academic Center in terms of traits to student, attitude of faculties, policies it's very unfriendly to the students. Elms is not a receiver of output but for them for easy way they choose the things that favor to them, they don't care about there student concerns about there grades and problems, the statements is big lying and only joking and this school is very expensive.

Unprofessional..

I was a student of a STI College branch. I became interested with all the premise of quality and affordable ICT education and learning through application. From what I experienced it a certain branch, some teachers would only be active on the first day, and would not attend class for like one to two whole semester although being seen present during school's open hours. There are also teachers who would be too emotional and would attend class and leave in a minute or so, like it was their first time teaching. Some teachers would attend class unprepared or don't even know how to teach especially in the programming side, which STI is known for. They give redundant lessons and give out too many activities that may either be unrelated or too much for the students when half of the faculty does not seem to be present during class hours. There have been fees for books that are distributed among students but will not be used otherwise! My book were never brought to school, never opened, and never needed because examination coverage relies on what is called as ELMS or Electronic Learning management system, which is also not so helpful. The grades felt like they were computed out of thin air. There was one or two teachers who I've felt did not have a basis on how they computed our grades. Procedures such as paying the school fees, getting uniforms, books or permits, etc. are taking too much time because the school lacks order or a system for their students. Examinations and our thesis were accomplished with a lot of self-study. It feels like I've wasted money enrolling there and I'm not the only one who feels the same way.

Not recommended

I'm from STI college Kalibo.. for what I experienced from there.. I wouldn't recommend enrolling there. First of all. Their instructors are inadequate to become one. They have the worst set of values that mostly no student can relate to. They don't even come to classes on a regular basis. I really hate this part.. These instructors are amateurs and don't know how to educate students properly. I am disappointed by these idiots. Our thesis was a joke and garbage.. I learned nothing in 2 semesters there.. In addition is their SSC. I don't know if their adviser is also part of this?.. I just hate the part that in every school event, there is always an attendance.. if you didn't attend some of the school events.. at the end of the 2nd semester, there is a fine that you must pay... Why can't they just give the students the freedom they want? *sighs* And also those homeroom meetings with your adviser.. Ugghh.. so much homeroom meetings have passed, me and my adviser didn't even get that close as if I wasn't even part of his advisory.. It just made me believed that it was all a waste of time. I know the situation very well because I compared it to some other schools, and their students were all getting well with their instructors and grades. I do not recommend STI

They failed my expectations

I am a student of STI College, Calamba studying ICT. The computers are very slow, the internet is very slow, and the teachers are also slow. The computers are running on cracked windows 7 and the front IO (where the USB insert slots are located) is not working. Fast computers should be essential since the school caters "cutting edge technology". I say they have the "blunt edge technology". Also Google search is blocked in the library, computers in every classroom are filled with malware where teachers are also the victim, and there is no campus WIFI(only faculty wifi and even that is very slow that they use mobile data or pocket wifi to access the internet). The teachers are not great, many of them are temporary so most of the time there is no teacher teaching us even the basic of the basics. Events are very unplanned (they gave notice two weeks before the event and students have tests and thesis to finish in that two weeks). Work immersion is not even worth doing because they say they have "hundreds of partner companies" but most of the students are having work immersion in government office (I was assigned to a traffic management office with no computer to fix or work on, I just sat there the whole eight hours) and students need to pay a fee for that immersion where no lesson related to the track was learned (there are students who wasted money finding a company to have work immersion on because not all companies accepts senior high students) I don't know if its the system or the corrupt minds of the cashier or registrar that made my account have an error. I was supposed to be fully paid in the tuition fee but there is more than 3,000 pesos that is not paid. I expected it to be less that 1,000 pesos since I have the receipts that sums up more than 2,000 pesos that should be subtracted in that 3,000 pesos. They say their system has an error and that made me uncomfortable because their system is unreliable. A school with a failing payment system...

WORST AND EXPENSIVE, POOR QUALITY EDUCATION

STI College, has a poor quality education. I'am a transferee student and honestly I didn't expect how unorganized their system is. Our course have a lot of laboratory classes that we need to pay but we can't even use the equipment that we need. We need to write a letter prior to our class schedule so we can use it and their reason is, it might get damage. Just wow! We have every rights to use it because we pay for that but they won't even let us. Another thing is their hired instructor is really not professional. They live up to their tag line too much "Enrollment to Employment" literally, their instructor are fresh graduates who can't even teach. Their management is also poor quality. The admin and staff have a really bad personality. The instructors rely too much in eLMS even though sometimes what is written there was wrong (Typos and wrong information). Imagine paying thousands but you cannot even get what you deserve.

Poor Salary Packages for it's Teachers

Teaching at STI is really pain in the ass. Earning only PHP 11,500.00 ($224) / month or PHP460 ($5)/day, teaching from Monday to Saturday. Lots of Workloads, Teaching materials at your own expense, projectors are damaged, centralized airconditioning units are not cold with huge and noisy electric fans inside classrooms. Unprofessional School Administrator, cashier, and registrar. Don't study or work at STI.

Very Disappointing

I am a new student currently taking ABM for STI's senior high school program. I was initially impressed by how clean and relatively advanced the facilities are in the campus. In fact, I was genuinely excited to continue my education there. But alas, naive me has fallen for STI's superficial facade. The aesthetically pleasing facilities are indirectly proportional to the quality of their employees and staff. The educators are VERY incompetent. Most of the teaching staff for the senior high school program are new recruits, and it's oh so obvious. They have AWFUL grammar and spelling skills, something that I would accept if they were not responsible for the nation's future. Some are so painfully oblivious and ignorant of the subject material they're teaching. It also bothers me just how dependent they are on Powerpoint presentations. Of course, it goes without saying that I am generalizing the teachers of this institution, but it reveals the lack of proper screening and training they have for their employees. The support staff are somewhat lacking also. The security guards are VERY temperamental and do not hesitate to punish students, even if they do not violate the school guidelines or there is insufficient evidence to link them to be the perpetrators. Another major point to criticize STI on is its lack of flexibility. As said earlier, there appears to be an over-reliance on STI's much exalted eLMS. Because of this system, the teachers possess no other option but to regurgitate the information found in this system. It restricts the teacher's ability to educate as it is very difficult to compound upon this system with their own interpretations, ideas, or additional certainties, especially as students know these extra ideas have no chance of appearing in their own exams. Speaking of exams, the teachers have no capability of modifying the exams given. Even if there was insufficient time to properly instill upon the students the entirety of the lesson, they must answer.

Unrecommendable

I agree to the first student reviewer, this school is one of the worst. The tuition fee is expensive yet the professors are not of quality. They have favoritism, they actually even guessing your grades. I have a friend who is irreg. She has complied to everything the professor ask and even got high result in her exams but when grades are given her classmates who fail the exams got even higher grades than her. Some of her professors doesn't even know who her students are. They only know the students they like. Enrollment is also hard. You have to wait for long queue in the bank to pay. But they say that they have this high-tech etc. etc. etc. I would never ever recommend this school to a friend. We have a lot of better schools than this. I hope the professors here would actually have that passion to teach their students.

Pros: beautiful campus, access to cutting-edge technology

Cons: poor academic reputation, expensive, unhelpful advisors, hard to register for classes, unfair faculty/instructors

Good facilities but education quality is one of the worst if not the worst

Teachers and staff unprofessional and arrogant. Not providing quality learning, just teaching whatever they want just to teach something even if not related to the course. Mistreating students and displaying favoritism, bias teachers. Wake up! You are being paid to prepare the students get a better future. You are not the students' bosses so do not treat them as though you are paying them to do what you want. Act professional and do your job!
