The Liberia Baptist Theological Seminary is the Center of Theological Education in Africa

The Liberia Baptist Theological Seminary (LBTS), founded in 1976, is a leading center for theological education in Africa. Its mission is to provide high-quality theological training that is accessible to diverse backgrounds, fostering academic, spiritual, and ministerial formation. LBTS offers a variety of academic programs, including: - **Bachelor of Arts in Theology**: Concentrations in Systematic Theology, Missiology, and Pastoral Studies. - **Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education**: Degrees in Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary Education. - **Graduate Programs**: MA degrees in Theological Studies, Christian Education, and Pastoral Studies. - **Master of Divinity (MDiv)**: Specializations in Leadership and Christian Counseling. Under the dynamic leadership of Prof. Momolu Armstrong Massaquoi, PhD, the seminary has evolved from an undergraduate institution to one that offers graduate-level education. Dr. Massaquoi established the International Theological Education Conference (ITEC), which led to the creation of the Baptist Journal of Theology (BaJoT)—Liberia's first theological journal. He has also expanded LBTS's outreach to rural pastors by establishing seven theological centers across Liberia. During his tenure, significant infrastructure improvements have been made, including a modern campus entrance, full electrification, and the construction of a graduate school building and prayer garden. Dr. Massaquoi aims to elevate LBTS to offer PhD programs within the next two years. LBTS fosters a vibrant campus life, encouraging community engagement through outreach programs that address local needs. Its graduates play vital roles in church leadership and societal development, actively participating in missions and social justice initiatives. Despite facing challenges such as funding constraints and political instability, LBTS remains committed to seeking partnerships and exploring exploring innovative educational methods.

I would recommend Liberia Baptist Theological Seminary to a friend!
