Fantastic academic program contents but poor university management policies & strategies.

Accra Institute of technology has one of the best program contents in all of the undergraduate courses. The school has well detailed program outlines on semester basis which makes students aware of what their learning from the start to the end. The university also provides online learning management system which supports students academic activities by 70% in the pre-covid world, and has become the most useful learning platform for virtual learning management across the country amid Covid-19 pandemic. Tuition on the other hand are by far the most affordable for all courses among private universities in the country, and it is even competitive with public tuition fee which has government's subsidies. The student support system is poor with disregard to students' complains. The university is too autocratic in its relationship with students; implementing policies which disadvantage students yet, they will not listen to either change the policy or make it more efficient to benefit both parties. The SRC which is to louder students' voices is largely marginalised, making it ineffective in its advocacy for students' needs and concerns. If the university addresses its management challenges, develop good rapport among its students, it will undoubtedly become the best university in the West African zone not to mention its affordability which is a plus.
