Cambridge is the Dream

I loved being a student at Cambridge. The campus is magnificent and has beautiful old buildings and impressive architecture. The city itself is also a great place to live. If you are into partying, there is not a ton to do here but London is close enough if you need to get away. Cars are not allowed for students. I reckon for some it may be a disadvantage, but everyone just rides bikes everywhere, which I found much more enjoyable anyway. Cambridge is a high-status university and having a degree from there says something. Today's economy is not very welcoming for young graduates, making me even more thankful to have Cambridge on my CV. Although I know numerous new graduates who are still looking for a job, those who attended Cambridge are not among them. There are many opportunities for theory-based discussions within your field led by experts or PhD students. There is always an expert in your field at your disposal. If you enjoy intellectual stimulation, are a hard-working, and want to meet fantastic people, Cambridge is the school for you. One piece of advice I will give to future students is to make sure and decide early exactly what you want your major to be. You can use the Tripos system if you need to switch your major later on, but it is complicated and not very flexible so you may have to attend university longer.

Pros: good academic reputation, knowledgeable faculty, beautiful campus, great networking opportunities, great study abroad options, challenging courses, Great learning environment

Cons: expensive, Weak student union, High workload, No diversity

I would recommend to a friend!
