Philly QB

Although the city of Philadelphia is not the place I'd wish to live for an extended period of time, I was very glad I attended LaSalle University for graduate school. The teachers in the Central/Eastern European department were extremely helpful, easy to talk to and associate with, as well as very knowledgeable. The classes offered were most interesting and involved a great deal of self-research as well as the reading of many texts. When I was writing my thesis, the director of the department kept close contact with me so as to ensure that what I produced was a work of quality that could be read by future students. Although the city is not very appealing visually, it does have many landmarks worth visiting and the cuisine in the city was very good despite my first thoughts. The Vietnamese, Indian, Arabic foods were top notch and there were more than one place. There was even a stellar Turkish restaurant which is hard to come by in other parts of the US. The trips downtown were worth it just to eat, though there were some other areas one could hang out at and have some fun as well.

Pros: good academic reputation, knowledgeable faculty, great networking opportunities

I would recommend to a friend!
