Great college of medicine!!

I would recommend to a friend!

Horrible University

Whatever you do, don't go there. DAU is an excessively corrupt university that hires and fires at the will of the board of trustees, who are ruled by a well known Saudi family. What they do to faculty is twenty first century enslavement, including losing their passports and hoodwinking them into deportation. Everything, they tell you in terms of Saudi law, but under the table, they would be plotting against you if they did not like you. For instance, one time a member of the faculty had less than 24 hours to leave the country under the pretext that DAU HR could not renew his visa. This despite that The Sheikh (and Head of the Board of Directors) has important connections in the government. Avoid at all cost or you will regret.

Pros: low cost of living

Cons: long work hours, large class sizes, lack of transparency, limited upward mobility

I would NOT recommend to a friend.
