Hello. I am a student from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. I'm from Colombia and I have an F1 student visa which expired on Nov 12, 2009. I'm planning to travel to Colombia this January. My question is if it is possible to renew the visa being in the United States? The only way to renew is to go back to the US Embassy in Bogota, Colombia? Is there a phone number I can call to ask about it? Is it really possible that I go to the US Embassy in Colombia and my visa can be denied, I don't want to take the risk, if you know other solution, please contact me.
